A Lesson on Artificial Intelligence

As part of the thematic plan, in the 1st year we focus on technological trends and their overlap with various fields of human activity. A lecture by an expert from IBM gave students a comprehensive view of developments in the field of artificial intelligence, its uses, and an understanding of its impact. Mr Jan Louda used a “magic hat” to demonstrate to students a very simple principle behind the algorithms on which artificial intelligence is built, and students also tried out a kahoot test, where they had to identify the algorithm themselves. The ethical perspective on AI itself was a topic of discussion.

The presentation by the IBM representative was very professional, yet adapted to the students' age and delivered in an entertaining way. We thank Mr Louda for his time and look forward to meeting again!
