Economics Olympiad
In the last week of November, 10 third-year students gradually gathered in our school's computer classroom to take part in the school round of the Economics Olympiad. This international competition for secondary school students in economics and finance was held for the ninth time. In the last week of November, 10 third-year students gradually gathered in our school's computer classroom to take part in the school round of the Economics Olympiad. This international competition for secondary school students in economics and finance was held for the ninth time. The competition was prepared by the Institute for Economic Education and the Czech National Bank. Our students went through an online test in which they solved the assigned tasks independently. Amid record competition from other secondary schools — 503 of which took part this year, with 31,066 students setting a new record for the number of competitors — our students did very well. Congratulations to everyone. Timotej Štrupl from 3.A and Daniel Hyjánek from 3.B earned an honourable placing. Tomáš Vraný and Alex Kuzněcova from 3.D won places in the top ranks that advance further. The regional round is set for them on 13 January at New York University in Prague.
