Information for students and legal guardians of minor students – distance learning

From Monday, 5 October 2020, in connection with a government order, 1SG will be closed to students and the school will switch to distance learning.

Instruction will be provided as follows:

Instruction for students in full-time education will follow an adjusted timetable for each class. Students and their legal guardians will be informed via the Bakaláři system and emails from class teachers about which lessons will take place online through the Microsoft Teams 365 environment. For the remaining lessons, students will be assigned tasks and instructions for independent study at home via the Bakaláři system, or these will be sent by email.

Throughout the distance-learning period, students and legal guardians will also be able to communicate with the school by phone or email.

Participation in online instruction is mandatory for all students at the school. If a student is unable to attend online instruction to the required extent, the adult student or the legal guardian of a minor student is required to excuse this absence in accordance with the school rules.

The assessment of students' progress and results will be similar to regular instruction. Students will be graded both on an ongoing basis and at the end of the grading period.

If a student needs an in-person consultation with a teacher, presence at school is only possible by prior arrangement and subject to compliance with all hygiene rules and mandated measures.

The form of distance learning in the Teams environment already proved itself to us in the spring. That's why we're not afraid of this situation, and we believe we'll all manage it well.
