The Mathing Online Mathematics Competition

This year our students took part in a competition for teams of secondary school students from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A total of 206 teams entered the competition this year.

Each team could have up to 7 students, with every team having its own captain as well as a supervisor – a teacher who accompanies the team. Within a time limit

of 120 minutes, the teams solved 10 varied mathematical problems of differing difficulty. As with the classic

mathematical olympiad, it was not only the correct result that was assessed,

but also the approach taken to solving each problem.
