History and Art Club & II.D in the West Bohemian Metropolis

The History and Art Club of 1. Slovanské gymnázium began the new school year with the same enthusiasm with which it ended the last one. On Friday 15 September, class II.D — a real cult favourite — got to benefit from this, as the KHU 1.SG prepared a full-day study trip to Plzeň for them.

“The lovely weather contributed to the excellent mood during the walk, during which the students also saw the bishop's palace, the Piarist college, the house where the writer, actor, and playwright Josef Kajetán Tyl (1808–1856) died, the theatre named after him, and the largest synagogue in Europe. We arrived back in Prague at 18:00, happily tired (on a somewhat crowded train), with memories of one of the best-preserved historic cores of the Czech royal towns (with its grid layout, created shortly after the town's founding in 1295).”
