Graduating students learned about ČZU's study programs

Representatives of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (ČZU) presented study programs and study-abroad opportunities today in our gymnázium's auditorium. Monika Faltusová from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences (FLD) and Marek Jelínek from the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ) came to brief the graduating-year students.

The graduating students were mainly interested in economics-related fields and studying in English. They were also intrigued by a unique study program at FLD: Conservation of Natural Materials and Taxidermy (preserving plants, insects, and the art of animal preparation). “The faculty is in contact with a number of Czech and foreign institutions, and it organizes conferences and exhibitions,” added Monika Faltusová from FLD.

The students were interested not only in the coursework but also in internship opportunities at partner universities in the European Union. “We run development projects in various parts of the world, for example in Georgia, Senegal, Cambodia, or Vietnam. Through the Erasmus+ program, students can go on internships to Latin America or Southeast Asia,” said Marek Jelínek from the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences.

Our gymnázium regularly organizes talks with representatives of Czech universities and colleges. This way, graduating students get the information they need to decide on their future university studies.
