The Most Beautiful Ball

The graduation ball of 1. Slovanské gymnázium and language school became a highlight of the ball season. On 25 February, the Great Hall of Prague's Lucerna came alive with a union of youth and beauty.

First-years full of anticipation for the ribbon ceremony, fourth-years enjoying their opening dance and the ceremonial procession before the sash-giving, the school management and proud teachers, but also proud parents, relatives, friends and companions. Everyone had a wonderful time. The host Oldřich Burda's compère remarks, outstanding choreography, flawless preparation by the students themselves, synchronized movements, harmonious gowns, cultivated manners – all of this made this year's ball the most beautiful in nearly twenty years of 1.SG's history.

We warmly thank everyone who helped bring it about with their timely support. Our own students deserve the credit most of all. After all, it was their evening. And the ball really did end very late in the evening…
