Presentation of graduation certificates at the Old Town Hall

On Friday 14 June 2024, the ceremonial presentation of graduation certificates took place in the morning at the Old Town Hall, in the historic heart of Prague. The City of Prague took this representative event of 1. Slovanské gymnázium and language school, with the right to hold state examinations, under its auspices, through Mgr. et Mgr. Antonín Klecanda, council member for education, sport and leisure activities. The auspices were granted on 16 April 2024. The satisfaction of the students, teachers and parents attests to a well-prepared event, one of the highlights of the Gymnázium's school year, with significant reach across society as a whole.

The programme featured the Czech national anthem performed by the students of II.D, joined by the young opera singer Mikuláš Perla. This was followed by speeches from the school's headmistress, Doc. Taťjana Pergler, Ph.D., and the deputy headmaster, JUDr. PhDr. David Řípa, MBA, after which the graduation certificates were handed to the graduating students of IV.A, IV.B and IV.C. Next came a performance by the students of II.E with the song Gaudeamus igitur. After the closing summary address by PhDr. Jaroslav Sojka, Ph.D., who was responsible for the event, it was time to meet with parents, offer congratulations and take photographs. We believe that the festive setting of Brožík Hall, the Hall of Jiří z Poděbrad and the Gothic Hall at the Old Town Hall further deepened the already profound experience for everyone present.
