School Trip to England

 On Sunday, our students set off on their journey to England. During the trip, they visited Canterbury Cathedral and explored the town's beautiful medieval centre. On Tuesday, students had the chance to visit the beautiful medieval Leeds Castle, walk through its extensive surrounding parks and gardens, and also visited the historic naval dockyard at Chatham, where they viewed the WWII submarine HMS Ocelot and the gun sloops HMS Cavalier and Gannet. On Wednesday, we departed for the seaside town of Brighton, where we visited the Sea Life Centre underwater aquarium, the exotic Royal Pavilion, and Brighton Pier. In the afternoon, they went for a walk along the sun-drenched Seven Sisters cliffs at Beachy Head. On the last day, the students went to London, where they visited the local parks and the Prime Meridian in the Greenwich district. This was followed by a sightseeing boat trip along the River Thames into the city centre, where the students had the chance to see the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. They took a ride on the London Eye and went for a walk around the city past Westminster Palace and the Elizabeth Tower – commonly known as Big Ben after the bell inside it – Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, St. James's Park, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar

Square.

In the evening, it was time to leave London and head back to Prague.
