This first encounter with history and art was magnificent. In the morning, the participating SlovGym students admired the baroque architectural gem of the Upper and Lower Belvedere and took a keen interest in the famous paintings and sculptures from the Austrian National Gallery's collections. The portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte by J. L. David was especially captivating.

After lunch, they explored the historic city centre and got to know the Gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral in more depth (including its dynastic and artistic ties to the Luxembourg-era Prague building lodge), the Renaissance and Baroque buildings of the Hofburg, and many other sights. The students' excellent mood was topped off by beautiful weather and a happy return to Prague.
