St Nicholas

St Nicholas was celebrated at our gymnázium too. Representatives of the student parliament, dressed up as St Nicholas, a few angels and devils, went round the classes handing out good cheer and a little something to nibble on. It's true that some students didn't escape having their faces smeared with charcoal, but in the end the devils didn't carry anyone off, and lessons carried on with everyone present. Later on, the school's Christmas decorating also took place, when students got to decorate a live tree and enjoy the peaceful festive atmosphere that was approaching.
