Modern Chemistry Lesson demonstrates energy transformations in practice

A lecturer from the University of Chemistry and Technology used experiments to show first-year students how energy around us changes from one form to another.

Modern Chemistry Lesson with a lecturer from the University of Chemistry and Technology for classes 1.A and 1.B

Students from classes 1.A and 1.B took part in an interactive Modern Chemistry Lesson on 22 October, led by a lecturer from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. The topic of the programme was energy transformations in the world around us.

The talk, accompanied by illustrative experiments, showed students that energy is not lost but changes its form. They were able to connect chemical knowledge with the workings of engines, fuels, electrical sources and other technologies we use every day.

The programme presented chemistry as a science that helps explain the everyday world, and clearly linked the curriculum with practical demonstrations.
