Today we were visited by representatives of VŠCHT Prague, with a project focused on popularising chemistry and modern chemical fields. Students of classes 3.B and 1.B set off on a cultural and educational excursion that took them to Werich's Villa on Kampa and then to the Golem exhibition in Prague. The programme was aimed at broadening their knowledge of Czech literature, theatre and Prague legends. The first stop was Werich's Villa, where students learned about the life and work of Jan Werich. Students visited the Museum of the Capital City of Prague. There they gathered a great deal of interesting information about the history of Prague. Students had the chance to look at old maps and view paintings and various objects from the past that people once used.
Students in the third and fourth years of our school, accompanied by teachers, took part in the Gaudeamus Praha educational fair, held at the PVA Expo Letňany exhibition grounds. The aim of the visit was to give students an overview of further study options and to help them get their bearings among the range of fields on offer, making it easier for them to decide on their future career path.
On 26 November 2025, our students attended a presentation of the graphic biography of Sophie Scholl. The book was presented by the Czech publisher Tomáš Cyril Havel and the historian Matěj Spurný. After the presentation of the life of this exceptional figure, a lively discussion followed, in which some very interesting questions were raised. This year our students took part in a competition for teams of secondary school students from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A total of 206 teams entered the competition this year. Each team could have up to 7 students, with every team having its own captain as well as a supervisor – a teacher who accompanies the team. Within a time limit of 120 minutes, the teams solved 10 varied mathematical problems
On Tuesday, 18 November, a second lecture was prepared for a group of students from our Gymnázium at the Prague University of Economics and Business. This time, at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Adam Borovička, Ph.D. presented the topic of investing in the capital market to the students. On Wednesday, 5 November 2025, boys from across all years took part in the district round of the Secondary School Futsal League tournament under the auspices of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. On Wednesday, 5 November, first-year students took part in a workshop on ‘Cybersecurity in the World of Finance', prepared by the Czech Banking Association as part of the Bankers in Schools programme. Mr Ondřej Podolský came to speak to the students, taking on the role of lecturer and introducing them, during the workshop, to the topic of cybersecurity with an emphasis on mobile applications and payment methods. On 20 October 2025, students of the 3rd and 4th years visited the exhibition ‘Kosmas 900 – A Chronicle Through Time' held at the Klementinum Gallery on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the death of the chronicler Kosmas. The exhibition presented a unique collection of surviving manuscripts of the Chronicle of the Bohemians, including the Leipzig manuscript with the only known depiction of the author. The exhibition was organised thematically – from medieval parchments through early printed books to digital processing.

The performance was held in cooperation with the Brno theatre company Domino Theater, as part of an unconventional German lesson: an illustrated retelling of three romantic stories drawn from the work of H. C. Andersen, guided by a native speaker. The visit to the theatre helped strengthen the students' emotional intelligence and helped them better understand their own feelings as well as those of others.
