On 7 March, 1. Slovanské gymnázium welcomed children who had been forced to leave their homes because of the war in Ukraine. Under the auspices of the Děti Ukrajiny (Children of Ukraine) Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Ukrainian embassy, single-class units are being set up across the Czech Republic to provide instruction in the children's native language, in line with the Ukrainian education system.
