Preparatory courses for entrance exams.
Today we began the oral maturita exams. Our students are making us proud with their perfect preparation.
The entrance exam for our gymnázium consisted of: the unified entrance exam (Czech Language and Literature, and Mathematics) the school's own entrance exam (a written test in English, a written general-knowledge test, an interview in Czech and English, and an assessment of prior education) After the entrance exams, we're preparing for the oral maturita exams, which begin on Monday, 15 June 2020.
During the coronavirus period, 3rd-year students at 1SG focused on the regions of the Czech Republic as part of a semester project in geography. They created promotional materials for the individual regions of the Czech Republic.
We'd like to inform you that our Language Centre language school is organizing over the summer holidays: summer language day camps for children aged 5 to 12, conversation courses for children aged 12 to 16, and much more… You can find more information on the website www.lc.slovgym.cz in the “CHILDREN'S CENTRE” section. We'd be delighted if you shared this news

We're a gymnázium of international character, and our students are scattered all over the world. One example is fourth-year student Daniel Šichov, who was accepted to a university in London — specifically Middlesex University London, in Advertising, PR and Branding. He just needs to pass his maturita with an average
….we don't know when yet, but we know how.
Thank you to the parents and our students for filling out the questionnaire about online teaching. Feedback is very important to us.
Thanks to online teaching, our gymnázium's students are learning considerable responsibility, and that's not all… They're in constant interaction with teachers and classmates. Right now they're surrounded only by family members, so spending their day this way is certainly a pleasant change for them. The following photos and videos will show you online teaching from the perspective of both teachers and students.
In connection with the current situation surrounding the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has prepared a plan for how the unified entrance exams for secondary schools, final exams, and the school-leaving exam (maturita) will take place. The date of the above-mentioned exams will depend on when the government's crisis measure on the closure of primary and secondary schools is lifted. The unified entrance exams will take place no sooner than 14 days
Dear students, dear parents, At 1. Slovanské gymnázium we are teaching what's known as remotely — we've chosen the form of online instruction via the Office 365 Teams program. At the same time, we communicate with students and their parents through the school's Bakaláři system and email. In-person instruction was suspended from Wednesday, 11 March 2020, until further notice, based on the extraordinary measures declared by the Government of the Czech Republic
