The deputy headmistress announces the resit and additional-classification exam dates for 28 August – 1 September 2023. Students are required to arrange a time with the relevant teacher by e-mail. On Monday 19 June, the home classroom of II.B became the venue for the first annual Chess Cup of 1. Slovanské gymnázium. We witnessed a number of dramatic clashes, and the overall level of play was unexpectedly high. We thank the Czech Chess Federation's representative, Mr Hás, for overseeing the fairness of the contest, Mrs Bojová and Mrs Lukavská for the organization, and all participants for the experience. We thank the runners-up and congratulate the winners of this year's annual Sports Day, during which, alongside a range of individual disciplines, students competed on Friday 16 June in volleyball, basketball, and five-a-side football. Thanks are due to Mgr. Kostyantyn Zhelamsky and Mgr. Jitka Bučková, who were in charge of organizing the event, for its smooth running.

Under the auspices of MuDr. Bojová and under the supervision of a licensed referee of the Czech Chess Federation, Mr Hás, the Chess Cup will take place at 1. Slovanské gymnázium on 21 June.

On 19 May, 11 May, and 13 June, three successive year groups of French language students, led by Mgr. Anna Lukavská and MuDr. Kateřina Bojová, travelled to Kampa, where they took part in a workshop at the museum of the same name, Kupka's Laboratory II.
