On 18 March, the Czech Government adopted an emergency measure extending the previous emergency measure. The current situation is thus extended until 28 March, and we continue with remote teaching.
The Ministry of Education has set the dates for the unified entrance examination in the 2020/2021 school year for the following period: 1st regular term: 3 May 2021 2nd regular term: 4 May 2021 1st substitute term: 2 June 2021 2nd substitute term: 3 June 2021
In the regular term, the written tests will take place from Monday, 24 May 2021 to Wednesday, 26 May 2021. Based on the emergency measure of 14 February, we continue in the same regime as before, i.e. remote teaching for all year groups. Committee-based resit and substitute examinations may now be held.
Once again, our students took part in the Economics Olympiad. This year's school rounds were held in an unusual online format, right from the comfort of our students' homes. A total of 399 schools and more than 15,000 students took part. A student from class 3.A – Polina B. and Alexandr P. from class 3.C made it through to the regional round of the Economics Olympiad,
Remote teaching won't stop us — despite the challenges of online learning, our students took part in the Czech Language Olympiad. The Czech Language Olympiad is announced every year by the Ministry of Education and organised by DDM Praha 2. The district round took place on Tuesday, 26 January, of course in remote form. The headmistress has announced the first round of the admissions procedure and the criteria for admission to the 1st year for the 2021/2022 school year. Based on the announcement of the Ministry of Education, we continue in the same regime as before, i.e. remote teaching for all year groups.
Even during remote teaching, you can still make use of career and educational counselling and the school psychologist. Prepared rooms are available in MS Teams. On 7 January the government approved an extension of the current measures, including those affecting schools. The extension was approved until 22 January 2021. School operations will therefore continue under the current rules until 22 January. All classes will thus continue with remote teaching via MS Teams.
Based on the emergency measure issued by the Czech Government on 23 December, the personal presence of students at schools is again restricted. From 4 January to 10 January 2021, all year groups will be taught remotely via MS Teams. Information will be updated on an ongoing basis.
If, after the new year, we continue with rotating instruction at secondary schools, in the first week (4–8 January 2021), the 2nd and 3rd years will begin in-person instruction. The following week (11–15 January 2021), the 1st years will take part in in-person instruction. Daily in-person instruction will take place in the graduating classes.
