This will increase your chances of being admitted to the gymnázium. You'll master not only the math and Czech language tests, but also the general study skills test. You'll prepare for studying at a gymnázium and get to know how it works. You'll work with secondary school teachers and get an individual approach. The course consists of 30 teaching hours, and you can find out more about it
How do our students measure up when it comes to reading literacy? How well did they understand the text, and could they answer the given questions? We'll find out once this testing is evaluated. We believe our students are reading literate.

In mid-November, we held our first open house of this school year. We're very pleased that so many people interested in our school came. The headmistress, Doc. As part of our biology classes, we visited an exciting escape game. The students split into teams and completed the assigned tasks within a time limit. The tasks thematically matched the material we had been covering on landscape spheres and the global problems affecting humankind. The students learned plenty of useful information and got to try working as a team.
In beautiful, sunny autumn weather, our students visited the Orlík hydroelectric power plant. As at Temelín, students were equipped with helmets. During the tour of the dam reservoir, a talk was given that also mentioned the impact of the 2002 floods. The Chernobyl miniseries became this year's phenomenon, so it's no surprise that students greeted the field trip to the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant with great enthusiasm. Yesterday, our first-year students visited the DOX Center for Contemporary Art as part of a field trip. This unique multi-purpose space, a former factory, is a center for design, architecture, and lectures. Through an interactive lecture, students of 1.Slovanské gymnázium first learned about the principles of modern architecture and the reconstruction of DOX and other buildings. In the last week of the summer holidays, some of our students have already sat down at their desks to focus intensively on mathematics. A canoeing trip is a very popular outing among students. This year we set off from Český Šternberk and paddled down the Sázava River. Along the way, students visited, among other things, the Gothic castle of Český Šternberk.
As part of Hiking Week, students chose from a range of trips around the Czech Republic. One of the trips was a climb up Sněžka, our highest mountain, along with exploring the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) and the sights of the Hradec Králové Region.
