In this year's Academy of Sciences' annual selection process for internship positions in research laboratories, called Otevřená věda (Open Science), two students from 1.A made it to the second round out of a total of 1,165 applicants. Congratulations, and we're rooting for them in the next round.
Last week, all the school's students took part in the “Science and Technology Week” project. As part of this interesting event, they went on field trips, attended lectures and talks at some very interesting research institutions. First-year students took part in a talk with the Police of the Czech Republic focused on cyberbullying, the criminal liability of minors, and certain socially pathological phenomena. Big congratulations go to two first-year students who qualified for the prestigious NATO Model at the Prague Student Summit. The year-long negotiations simulating the workings of NATO are conducted entirely in English, and our students represent Hungary and Slovenia.
