This year's graduation ball is slowly approaching, along with many beautiful moments and surprises that the students are preparing for you. Our graduating students are diligently rehearsing the ceremonial opening dance, which will be one of the highlights of the ball. The choreography is not just a traditional dance — it also tells a story that will surprise and entertain every attentive viewer. The preparation is overseen by experienced dancer Michal
On Tuesday, students had the chance to attend a truly vast number of interesting lectures on all kinds of topics touching on the fields of history, archaeology, linguistics and more. For my part, I would highlight the lecture by archaeologist Pavel Titz, who spoke about the archaeological discoveries beneath Vesuvius and the possibilities of uncovering their secrets using the artificial intelligence so often discussed today, along with other cutting-edge technology.

May you thrive not only at school, but in every area of life. As a school, we decided to close out 2024 with a new tradition — a Christmas get-together at Slovgym.
On 5 and 6 December 2024, students set off on an unforgettable two-day trip to the Austrian capital, Vienna. The journey began at 12:15, when students from the 2nd and 4th years set off by bus from Prague, heading to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, which enchanted us throughout our stay with its history, architecture and Christmas atmosphere.
In the last week of November, 10 third-year students gradually gathered in our school's computer classroom to take part in the school round of the Economics Olympiad. This international competition for secondary school students in economics and finance was held for the ninth time. On Wednesday 13 November 2024, girls from the 1st year took part in the district round of the Subterra Cup tournament. The tournament ran from the morning hours at Campanus Elementary School. Four other schools from Prague took part alongside us. The tournament went rather well for the girls, and they finished in 4th place. I would like to thank everyone for their exemplary representation of the school.

On Friday 8 November, boys from the 1st and 4th year took part in the district round of the Subterra Cup floorball tournament, held at Campanus Elementary School. Although most of them are footballers at heart, they were not afraid to represent the school in a sport that is less familiar to them. We look forward to it again next year!
On 7 November, boys from the 1st and 2nd year took part in the district round of the Czech Schools Cup tournament – POPRASK. Although the boys did not advance to the semifinals due to a narrow defeat, they won their final placement match and so brought home a good feeling. Thank you for representing our school!
At last, our favourite autumn holiday, Halloween, has arrived!!! Both students and teachers pleasantly surprised us with their creativity, preparing interesting costumes and masks, competing for the best costume.
Third and fourth-year students took part in the Secondary School Futsal League tournament on Friday 25 October, under the auspices of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. Talented and enthusiastic about a sport they enjoy, they fought for the win right to the very end.
