In the last week of February, third-year students visited the Czech National Bank's Behind the Currency exhibition. The excursion took place in the large Roith Hall of the Czech National Bank building on Na Příkopě 28 street. The time for the admissions process at our gymnázium is approaching. We would like to politely remind all those interested in studying at our school that the final deadline for submitting applications is 20 February 2025. On 11 December, our school held a battle for the title of best French speaker! Students tested their language skills in two categories – SŠ and SŠ+ – and showed that French is by no means foreign to them. On Tuesday, students had the chance to attend a truly vast number of interesting lectures on all kinds of topics touching on the fields of history, archaeology, linguistics and more. For my part, I would highlight the lecture by archaeologist Pavel Titz, who spoke about the archaeological discoveries beneath Vesuvius and the possibilities of uncovering their secrets using the artificial intelligence so often discussed today, along with other cutting-edge technology.

On 5 and 6 December 2024, students set off on an unforgettable two-day trip to the Austrian capital, Vienna. In the last week of November, 10 third-year students gradually gathered in our school's computer classroom to take part in the school round of the Economics Olympiad. This international competition for secondary school students in economics and finance was held for the ninth time. On Wednesday 13 November 2024, girls from the 1st year took part in the district round of the Subterra Cup tournament. The tournament ran from the morning hours at Campanus Elementary School. Four other schools from Prague took part alongside us. The tournament went rather well for the girls, and they finished in 4th place. I would like to thank everyone for their exemplary representation of the school.
